Hello Pynksters and investors!

It's the end of the year so a good time for an end of year update .

Now, I don't want to bore you with that word that we've all heard too much this year, but of course I need to start by recognising what a horrible, tumultuous year this has been for so many of us.

My thoughts are with all of you who've really struggled yourselves or had people close to you who've really struggled .

Now we really feel very fortunate here at Pynk, that 2020 hasn't been too tough on us, fingers crossed we're not quite there yet but you know, looking back to last March, things did look pretty bleak. At Pynk we were around I think six or seven months into raising a second seed round when Covid really started to affect things in Europe and we lost our main investor almost as a direct result, and so with with minimal funds in the bank, we really had to pull together as a team .

We had instituted a hiring freeze , we went to all having tiny salaries, we had to shift our focus from we were expecting to launch in the summer and we had to go back to the drawing board and restart our funding round almost from scratch and you know , having to do that in the middle of a real uncertainty from the beginning of the the pandemic, you know we did pull!

Together united we stood!

It wasn't just our employees, but also you! Our crowd and our investors and in that context I want to thank all of you who gave us your support.

So, we now have over a thousand investors thanks to both Seedrs and Founderbeam crowdfunding platforms as well as a few vcs and and angels. So, thanks to all of you we have more than forty thousand crowd members now!

The same goes to the more than twenty thousand people on our global investor wait list. Thanks to you and of course our team of employees and advisors all over the world who've been so crucial to where we are today.

I suppose I should also thank the UK Government who implemented something called “the future fund”, in order to help early-stage startups that were in a particularly precarious position.

You know, facing a complete lack of funds unexpectedly, many of whom didn't have any revenue at all and so, that fund that scheme , has actually really helped boost our funding ground.

It added six figures to the pot which was really critical .

So you know, bear with me on this one, I don't think I've ever had to thank politicians directly before so thank you.

To the UK public, who are now effectively Pynk investors, we have taken people powered to another level yet again and together all of you, have allowed us to get to where we are today and
you know, we really are on the verge of starting our mission for real by enabling that first people-powered investment portfolio.

We're putting everyday investors at the heart of the investment decision making process .

We're building what we call a collaborative finance, changing the way the world of investment works, democratizing access to hedge fund grade investment tools and research and knowledge,
encouraging positive long-term financial habits and helping people everywhere to create a better financial future and all that, while making investment fun!

All of that starts of course with the imminent launch of our investor wallet.

So first and foremost, that highly anticipated launch allowing people to invest into the “Pynk Thesis Portfolio“: the first of many portfolios and products that we're planning to offer.

So that, the investment portfolio itself and the technology that delivers, it is pretty much ready to rock now.

We're pending a few tweaks and final tests. So you know it was so so close we were hoping for a pre-christmas launch, but there's one final thing just holding that up and it doesn't quite look like that's going to happen.

So the markets now, closed for the holiday period, it seems likely that it's going to have to wait until the new year. We'll be inviting trenches of you, tranches of pinksters, through into the wallet from that point. So, a little surprise I'm pleased to tell you, that we're actually able to give you a little sneak peek now of how the investor wallet registration process and the wallet itself might look when you're able to get in.

It's just a demo, so there you go a quick preview of how it's all going to look when it launches very very soon.

Now, if you're one of our loyal pynksters and you're involved with the the app itself, you'll be keen to hear what's happening with the next round of wisdom points conversions.

One thing that you may be wondering, is what is our portfolio actually going to look like when it launches...well, while we have something called a core within the portfolio, that does keep us involved in a slip number of assets that are fairly typical of the market overall, this core element gives you fairly similar exposure to what you might see in those vanilla and interesting investment portfolios that you can get elsewhere, but with us, that is of course only a fairly small element of our whole portfolio.

What you're really buying into with Pynk, is a series of investment themes.

We call them, THESIS pronounced that correctly, that we've developed in a collaboration with our crowd and investors.

Now some of you have been involved in, helping us already decide on some of the exciting investment concepts that will feature that show investment promise and some of you, have also been involved in identifying suitable assets that fit into each thesis and even more of you, will be involved in the future and you'll be helping us to do all of the above as well as rebalancing our allocations and adding and removing assets to and from each of them.

So each THESIS, follows a separate investment concept and each of them has a number of assets that fit that concept, but we combine together these various investment concepts to give you what is a diversified portfolio overall.

Now I won't share all of the THESIS that will be in the portfolio at launch obviously. It's in a continual state of improvement and development, but here are a few that might feature, just to give you a flavor.

One is “Rembrandts in the attic”. This one, is identifying companies that have got hidden value that we and the crowd, don't believe is completely reflected in the current price of those assets.
So this THESIS is not, it's obviously not industry specific. You could see all kinds of companies in this THESIS as long as they have what we consider to be hidden value.

Another one is a new food tech and that includes but isn't restricted to, lab grown meat. Here generally we are following up on our belief that the world has to change the way that it feeds itself. We need less waste, less environmental destruction, reduced animal suffering and fewer harmful chemicals. In time we believe that the cost benefits of this new toy type of food production will be so big, that ethics will no longer be the only driver, or the main driver towards changing eating habits.

We think that cost savings will be another THESIS, is investments getting greener. Here, we're looking more generally at a variety of environmentally respectful businesses and technologies that are reducing energy waste and pollution.

Finally, the last one I'll mention, is medical marijuana and other innovative plant-based medicines and we've actually found some really interesting ways to get exposure to this exciting sector, without necessarily having to restrict ourselves to investing into marijuana producers themselves.

So there are many more features to come which we will talk about in some future updates.

One big thing to mention along those lines, is that we do have a lot of progression happening right now in terms of integrating the crowd more tightly, with what the investment committee does: Razvan Pouneh and Mark are already making significant headway with this, and you'll have no doubt seen and recognized that if you're regularly involved in the Pynk community but...that is just the start, because we'll be integrating the community and more collaboration features into the core of the app itself.

Then, we're planning other things like fun games and battles and combat, even collaborative play to up the ante and increase the fun factor, so you can compete with others and prove who is the best predictor, who's the best investor...

We're planning a native app, a way to get your hands on all kinds of alternative assets as well as solutions for you to have more influence and customize your personal portfolios that you hold with us and we're also planning ways, to bring you more cutting-edge information and education, that will help you and the crowd and all of our investors to be smarter investors!

So a little flavor there, our roadmap for 2021 and beyond will be published after the new year, so look out for that but don't just look for it.

We enable that wherever we can. It's not just a portfolio, it's the actual product development itself. So thanks for making it this far right to the end of this pretty long video.

È la fine dell'anno, quindi è un buon momento per un aggiornamento di fine anno.

Ora, non voglio annoiarvi con quella parola che abbiamo sentito tutti troppo quest'anno, ma ovviamente devo iniziare riconoscendo che anno orribile e tumultuoso è stato per così tanti di noi.

I miei pensieri sono rivolti a tutti voi che avete veramente lottato o avete avuto vicino a voi persone che hanno davvero lottato.

Ci sentiamo davvero molto fortunati qui in Pynk, poichè il 2020 non è stato troppo duro con noi, incrociamo le dita che non siamo ancora arrivati alla fine, ma guardando indietro allo scorso Marzo, le cose sembravano piuttosto desolanti.

In Pynk eravamo nel bel mezzo della nostra campagna crowdfunding da sei o sette mesi, raccogliendo un secondo round di seed, quando il Covid ha davvero iniziato a influenzare le cose in Europa. Abbiamo perso il nostro principale investitore come risultato diretto. Quindi con fondi minimi in banca, abbiamo davvero dovuto riunirci come una squadra.

Abbiamo istituito un congelamento delle assunzioni, siamo andati avanti tutti con piccoli stipendi, abbiamo dovuto spostare la nostra attenzione da quello che ci aspettavamo di lanciare in estate e abbiamo dovuto tornare al tavolo e riprogettare il nostro round di finanziamento quasi da zero e sapete, dovendo farlo nel mezzo di un periodo di vera incertezza dall'inizio della pandemia, capite quanto abbiamo tirato!

Insieme, siamo rimasti uniti!

Non eravamo solo noi e i nostri dipendenti, ma anche voi! Il nostro pubblico e i nostri investitori e in questo contesto voglio ringraziare tutti voi che ci avete dato il vostro sostegno.

Quindi, ora abbiamo oltre un migliaio di investitori grazie alle piattaforme di crowdfunding di Seedrs e Founderbeam, nonché grazie ad alcuni vcs e angels. Quindi, grazie a tutti voi ora abbiamo più di quarantamila membri!

Una piccola sorpresa sono lieto di darvi è che siamo effettivamente in grado di darvi una piccola anteprima, di come potrebbero apparire il processo di registrazione del portafoglio dell'investitore e il portafoglio stesso quando sarai in grado di entrare.

Ora, se sei uno dei nostri fedeli pynkster e sei coinvolto nell'app stessa, sarai ansioso di sapere cosa succederà con il prossimo round di conversioni di wisdom points.

Bene, sono lieto di dire che anche i vostri wisdom points verranno convertiti nel nuovo anno appena prima del lancio del portafoglio investitori, il che in realtà significa che quelli di voi che li hanno guadagnati, saranno tra i primissimi a guardare l'interno del portfolio.

Una cosa che ti starai chiedendo è come sarà effettivamente il nostro portafoglio quando verrà lanciato...beh, anche se abbiamo qualcosa chiamato “core” all'interno del portafoglio, che ci tiene coinvolti in un numero limitato di asset che sono abbastanza tipici del mercato in generale, questo elemento fondamentale vi offre un'esposizione abbastanza simile a ciò che potreste vedere in quei portafogli di investimento vanigliati e interessanti che potete ottenere altrove, ma con noi, questo è ovviamente solo un elemento abbastanza piccolo del nostro intero portafoglio.

Ciò che stai realmente acquistando con Pynk è una serie di temi di investimento.

Li chiamiamo, THESIS, pronunciati correttamente, che abbiamo sviluppato in collaborazione con il nostro pubblico e gli investitori.

Ora, alcuni di voi sono stati coinvolti, aiutandoci già a decidere alcuni degli entusiasmanti concetti di investimento che presenteremo in quella promessa di investimento. Alcuni di voi, sono stati anche coinvolti nell'identificazione di risorse adeguate che si adattano a ciascun THESIS e anche più di voi, sarete coinvolti in futuro e ci aiuterete a fare tutto quanto descritto sopra, nonché a ribilanciare le nostre allocazioni e ad aggiungere e rimuovere risorse da e verso ciascuna di esse.

Quindi ogni THESIS, segue un concetto di investimento separato e ciascuno di essi ha un numero di attività che si adattano a quel concetto, ma combiniamo insieme questi vari concetti di investimento per darti quello che è un portafoglio diversificato nel complesso.

Ora, non condividerò tutti i THESIS che saranno ovviamente nel portfoglio al momento del lancio. È in continuo stato di miglioramento e sviluppo, ma eccone alcuni che potrebbero essere presenti, solo per darvi un assaggio.

Uno è “Rembrandt in soffitta”. Con questo, stiamo identificando le aziende che hanno un valore nascosto che noi e la crowd, non crediamo si rifletta completamente nel prezzo attuale di quegli asset. Quindi questo THESIS non è specifico di un settore. Potresti vedere tutti i tipi di società in questo THESIS, fintanto che hanno quello che consideriamo essere un valore nascosto.

Un altro riguarda le nuove tecnologie alimentari ed include, ma non è limitato, a carne coltivata in laboratorio. Qui, in generale, stiamo dando seguito alla nostra convinzione che il mondo debba cambiare il modo in cui si nutre. Abbiamo bisogno di meno rifiuti, meno distruzione ambientale, minore sofferenza degli animali e meno sostanze chimiche nocive. Col tempo, crediamo che i benefici in termini di costi di questo nuovo tipo di produzione alimentare faranno si, che l'etica non sarà più l'unico motore, o il motore principale, verso il cambiamento delle abitudini alimentari.

Pensiamo che il risparmio sui costi sarà un altro THESIS. Gli investimenti diventeranno più verdi. Qui stiamo guardando più in generale, a una varietà di aziende e tecnologie rispettose dell'ambiente che stanno riducendo lo spreco di energie e l'inquinamento.

Infine, l'ultimo che menzionerò, è la marijuana medica e altri farmaci innovativi a base vegetale. Abbiamo effettivamente trovato alcuni modi davvero interessanti per ottenere l'esposizione a questo entusiasmante settore, senza dover necessariamente limitarci a investire negli stessi produttori di marijuana.

Quindi ci sono molte altre funzionalità in arrivo di cui parleremo in alcuni futuri aggiornamenti.

Una cosa importante da menzionare in questo senso, è che abbiamo molti progressi in corso in questo momento in termini di integrazione più diretta alla crowd, con ciò che fa il comitato per gli investimenti: Razvan, Pouneh e Mark stanno già facendo progressi significativi in questo e senza dubbio lo avrete visto e riconosciuto se siete regolarmente coinvolti nella comunità di Pynk ma ... questo è solo l'inizio, perché integreremo la comunità e aggiungeremo più funzionalità di collaborazione nel nucleo dell'app stessa.

Quindi, stiamo pianificando altre cose come giochi divertenti, battaglie e combattimenti, anche il gioco collaborativo per alzare la posta e aumentare il fattore divertimento, in modo da poter competere con gli altri e dimostrare chi è il miglior predittore, chi è il miglior investitore …

Stiamo pianificando un'app nativa, in modo da poter mettere mani a tutti i tipi di risorse alternative e soluzioni per avere maggiore influenza, per permettere di personalizzare i portafogli personali che avrai con noi e stiamo anche pianificando modi, per portare più informazioni e istruzione all'avanguardia, che aiuteranno te, la crowd e tutti i nostri investitori a essere investitori più intelligenti.

Quindi, questo era un assaggio, la nostra roadmap per il 2021 e oltre sarà pubblicata dopo il nuovo anno, quindi fai attenzione. Sarete in grado di dirci effettivamente cosa ne pensate e influenzare ciò che accade e quando, perché ovviamente, siamo incentrati sulla collaborazione.

In the first part Marcol1 explained to me in a very simple way, what will be the practical advantages, for anyone who wants to develop on Flare Network.

The next question from me was:

S: Since you are in the evening...could you please explain to me the role of XRP token in the applications and development process of Flare? I read long ago that the Flare network for its applications will leverage on XRP but I don't understand the mechanism well ... if you mind and you have time to explain eh ..

M: So, the Xrp network and the Flare network are related in a trustless and bidirectional way. You are creating this two-way and trustless network by making the claim.

So, any XRP address is related to Flare's network via that address put in the message key. So that's the trustless relationship, because the signing is done on your own. I mean every owner of an XRP wallet is creating that relationship, okay?

This relationship causes XRP to be used for its use ... for its properties, which are: speed, performance and network security in moving the asset.

When the smart contract comes into play, FXRP comes into play which is practically the equivalent of XRP on a network dedicated to smart contracts and which is that of Flare.

With this relationship that exists between XRP and FXRP, which are substantially the same and interchangeable in a trustless, fast, cheap and safe way, it will be possible to switch from one to the other in a practically transparent way.

Meaning: when I need XRP I use XRP, when I need FXRP I use FXRP.

When will I need FXRP? I will need it, when I have to use Smart contracts and then to use programs created by me or by third parties that will do particular “if-then-else” actions, “if this is so then do this”, Ok? This is the use and the relationship between the two.

When FXRP, therefore the smart contract part instead needs the features of XRP, that is the fundamental one of speed in payments and all we already know, then FXRP will transform into XRP in a practically transparent way. However, this type of relationship makes both networks benefit from the existence of the other! And that's the beauty of Flare!

After that, there are a whole other set of uses. In the sense that, if an XRP holder decides to start being an agent, then he says: “ok! I have the XRP and I want to earn others, how do I do it ?!”.

Basically I will use my XRPs to have Spark (FLR).

I will use the Sparks to mint FXRP, and by minting FXRP I gain XRP.

So, I am using XRP to earn more XRP. Obviously the job of the agent is a job that must follow rules and that in any case it is something that you know how to do, or else you put yourself in the hands of third-party companies that are emerging and that will offer that type of services.

Keep in mind that to mine an FXRP, it will take 2.5 times the dollar value of an XRP. 2.5 dollar value of Spark to mint an FXRP. This means that the network, as described in the white paper, ensures that the agent fulfills his or her duties.

If the agent does not respect his duties, if he fails to guarantee this proportion, then he loses money
