No existential crisis allowed.
Orlando, our new CBC friend (give to him a follow and show to him some Love!), has done an entry recently on his blog, titled “Who am I?”
“Who am I” is an interesting topic so I wanted to give my take on the subject.
“Who am I?”….”Who am I?”. How many times we asked this question into our self. This can be an absolute life drama and I know many people caught in some kind of existential crises, an evolutionary block, a real struggle for all those in search for an answer to this riddle.
Am I this…am I that?...and if I discover it was a wrong choice? This was a trip into darkness to me which fortunately it lasted very little.
Is this a real question? I mean, does exist a true Universal answer which could satisfy such fundamental question to everyone?
YES! FOR SURE!
The answer I gave myself is that one doesn’t discover “who am I”. There is nothing to discover in there.
The UNIVERSAL answer to me was:
One DECIDE “who am I”…and then you discover your true potential in every field you like to experiment without the fear to fail but with the pleasure to show to yourself what you got.
Society since our birth, dresses us with tags, expectations, values and many other things. This are very comfortable dresses until you want to express your true personality.
I imagine everyone to be like a block of stone that you have to sculpt not by adding more material, you have to sculpt it and free it from the excess of stone to show the Artwork hidden inside.
Sometimes to achieve this you have to put yourself in the cage of the lion to tame your beasts: unhealthy or unnecessary rotten values, thoughts and past action. And to do this you have also to put yourself in what I call the “don’t give a fuck” state of mind, where you know that most probably you will get some paw from the beasts in the process of taming them, but in the end you’ll evolve into something more complete and aware of your potential.
